“BANDS FOR BASKETS”
FUNDRAISER TAKING PLACE ON DECEMBER 4th.
Pointe-Claire, Aug 3th, 2011 – The artists and volunteers of the Bands For Baskets organization are glad to announce that the 6th chapter of this annual event will take place on December 4th 2011 at La Kachette, 730 Montreal Toronto Boul. in Dorval. The show will start at Noon and will showcase local bands who graciously donate their time and talent to help us collect funds and non-perishable foods benefiting Local Christmas basket drive.
“The event is well attended every year and we would like even more people to come and encourage the artists, of course help us feed some children during the Holiday Season.” said Peter Angrove, the event organizer.
Volunteers will be canvassing some local businesses for donations and door prizes in the coming weeks, to help make the day a great experience for all who attend. Angrove also points out that “In these tough times more families need help. We know that people are solicited and that budgets are stretched, but even if you give just a little, many littles make a lot!”
The show starts at Noon and runs until about 11 PM. Great music, door prizes, and the feeling of knowing you’re helping local families have a little bit during the holidays, are on the menu.
